Once you begin forth grade, all you hear is how fun safety patrol is. You hear the fifth graders saying how fun it is, and most of all you hear their remarks about going to Washington D.C. My teacher, Mr. Schwarz, is in charge of safety patrol. Therefore, everyone in my class wants to be on safety patrol.
When you are on safety patrol, you get to watch all of the other kids. You make sure that they aren't doing anything that they are not supposed to be doing. Just last week the fifth graders went on their trip to D.C. My teacher asked if anyone was willing to take a temporary spot on the patrol. I, of course, said, "Of Course!! "
When I finally got to patrol, I had the easiest job in the school. My job was to watch the kids in bus line 20-25. There was a grand total of about, 7 kids. All I had to do was make sure they were behaving. Once the buses were loaded, my job was done.
Even though I am not permanently on safety patrol yet, I had a blast. I cannot wait until next year when I can do it every day. Then, I too, will be able to go to Washington D.C. Fun, Fun!!
